• Climate change It is likely that the next decade will require radical lifestyle changes for everyone. People who are living with poverty are likely to already to be living a low-carbon lifestyle, but have fewer resources to make bigger changes that may become expected. We must target climate adaptions with low income households in mind.

    East Lothian Climate Hub: Scotland and the UK should prioritise increasing the availability and accessibility of
    - incentives for people to retrofit their home insulation and
    - schemes to participate in community owned energy (which can provide massive financial benefits to community initiatives)
    - fully-funded grants that reach audiences pro-actively to replace boilers with more things like heat pumps

    Renewable and electric-source energy, like heat pumps and district-wide heating, should be provided in Council housing as boilers go out of date.
