The Pennypit Trust Befriending Project aims to improve the quality of life for vulnerable and elderly members in the community. We provide services to targeted members of the community which aims to reduce social isolation, loneliness and food insecurity and further support where necessary.
I think there would be room to shop around for equipment that would be much better value and the same quality that could bring this bid down significantly.
This is a service that should be fully self sufficient people should be paying for the food provided and should all be volunteers running it absolutely no need to be paying staff for anyone of these 5 weekly groups that meet. I’m not going to say that food poverty doesn’t exist but certainly in many cases it’s exaggerated for certain groups benefits and figures
This equipment will allow us to work more sustainably in the long term of our project. Food brings people together and at The Pennypit Trust we believe that our befriending project does just this therefore reducing isolation
